Privacy policy

Who we are

Naija Dynamics is run by Naija Dynamics ("we", "us"). We decide how your personal data is used, which makes us its controller under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

What we collect

Your account: your email address, a username, your date of birth, and when you accepted the terms and which version. Your password is kept by our sign-in provider as a one-way hash; we never see it. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your email address and the name on your Google account.

Your game: the character you made, your home and furniture, your progress, your play money and the things your Sim has done. While you are in a shared place, your position there is kept so other players can see you.

What you share: messages you send in chat, friend requests, the players you block and the messages you report, and any picture and caption you upload for an advert.

Payments: when you buy play money or an advert, Paystack or Flutterwave takes your card or bank details. We never see or keep your card number. We keep the payment reference, what you bought, the amount, the provider and whether it went through.

Technical data: our hosting and database providers record your IP address, your browser and the time of each request, to keep the service running and safe. We count visits to the site as one number per day, which is not linked to you.

Cookies and storage on your device

We keep your sign-in session and a few settings (whether the music is on, whether you closed the install prompt or this cookie notice, whether today's visit was counted) in your browser's storage. They are needed for the game to work.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics.

Why we use it

To run the game and your account, which is our agreement with you. To check that players are 18 or over. To keep the game fair and safe: stopping cheating, reviewing reports and adverts, and protecting the service, which is our legitimate interest. To take payments and keep the records the law asks for. To send the emails the service needs, such as confirming your address or resetting a password.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to show you targeted adverts.

What other players see

Your username, your Sim's look, where your Sim is in a shared place, the messages you send in public chat, and your home when a friend visits. Direct messages are seen by you and the person you sent them to. Our moderators may read a message that is reported to them.

Who we share it with

Only the providers we need to run the game, each bound to protect it: Supabase (database and sign-in), our web host, Google (only if you sign in with Google), and Paystack or Flutterwave (only when you pay). We will also share data when the law requires it, or to protect players from harm.

Some of these providers process data outside Nigeria. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards the Nigeria Data Protection Act requires.

How long we keep it

Your account and game for as long as your account is open. Public chat in a place is deleted after about an hour. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except payment records, which we keep for as long as tax and financial laws require.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to move it to you in a common format, or to stop using it for a purpose you object to. Write to support@naijadynamics.com from the email address on your account and we will answer within 30 days.

If you are not happy with our answer, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Age

Naija Dynamics is for people aged 18 and over. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, we close it and delete its data.

Security

Data travels encrypted, the database only lets each player reach their own records, and your money, time and progress can only be changed by our server. No system is perfectly safe; if a breach puts your data at risk, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and if a change matters we will tell you in the game.
